What do video games and lego have to do with dentistry?

A lot more than you think, according to Dr. Lee.  He manages to find time for both to play with when he’s not at work. There’s precision required of video games:  to get the timing just right, the drive to hone and master a skill. That’s how you separate the good video game players from the great ones. It’s this attention to detail that is what Dr. Lee loves about dentistry, which is a skill measured in micro-millimeters.

To develop a craft and, even more, to know that it makes a difference in the health and well being of his patients gives him the satisfaction of a job well done.

And Lego? Well there is an order and a logical way for things to fit together. The way lego pieces fit are like the process and protocols that you follow for each procedure in dentistry. You have to follow the rules to make them fit and by following the rules it develops a good foundation that allows for creativity and then work becomes art (just don’t ask him to draw for you). If you ask Dr. Lee what does he drive, he’ll tell you with pride “An Odyssey”. Why? Because it fits the thing that drives him and his family.

Family is one of the most important things in his life. That being said, he likes to treat each patient like they’re family as well. The patient’s health is his utmost concern along with patient care. He’ll make sure to spend the extra time to give you the care you need- whether it be education to better understand a treatment plan, or just a joke at the right time to lighten the mood.
