Leila Registered Dental Hygienist

What inspired you to work in dentistry?
My family has been going to the same dentist for over 10 years, and I had such a great hygienist. She was kind, prioritized my oral health, and I always had a positive experience when I saw her. I wanted to be that for people. She told me about the profession, the routine of the job, and the work life balance, and it just seemed like the right fit for me.

What do you enjoy most about your role at Oasis Family Dental?
As hygienist we have a unique role in that we get to see most of our patients on a regular basis over many years and I really enjoy connecting with patient the most.

What are your strengths or specialties in your role?
I believe my strength is communication and attention to detail. I really enjoy educating my patients on the importance of oral health, and I like being meticulous and through with my job.

What do you do outside of work?
I love being active and I am currently training for my first half marathon this summer and am hoping to do a full one year next year. I love coffee, fun drinks, and checking out cafes, so if you need any recommendations from any area of the city, I have a list for you!

What is your favorite quote, motto or something that motivates you?
Something that motivates me is that every day is an opportunity to learn and grow. it reminds me to be open to any challenges, and strive towards being a better version of myself not only for me but for those around me too.

Anything else you’d like patients to know about you?
I have a dog named Buddy and I love dogs! It always makes my day a little better when patients show me pictures of their dogs.
